Abstract

This article examines SRA JAIS teachers’ skills through teachers’ training based on Integrated Holistic Education System (IHES) and its relation to teachers’ education background and the district in Selangor. This analysis on JAIS SRA teachers’ skill level is based on research related to JAIS SRA   teachers’ evaluation on teachers’ training program under IHES. Quantitative research design was used using a set of questionaire as the instrument adapted from Kirkpatrick Evaluation Model (2000) to explore teachers’ skill aspect. The selected samples for this research were 535 JAIS SRA teachers from nine districts in Selangor. The findings were analysed using SPSS and the descriptive outcome showed a moderately high mean value for the whole aspects of teachers’ skills. While the one tailed ANOVA test showed a significant difference on JAIS SRA teachers education background between certificate/ diploma/ degree level and STPM/STAM/Rabi’ Thanawi/or below in the aspect of teaching skills. The findings from this research is hoped to be as indicators in improving and upgrading teachers’ training system particularly related to teaching implementation through IHES.

Abstrak 

Artikel ini cuba mengupas tahap kemahiran guru-guru SRA JAIS melalui latihan guru yang diikuti berdasarkan Integrated Holistic Education System (IHES) dan hubungannya dengan tahap pendidikan guru di Selangor. Kupasan tahap kemahiran guru-guru SRA JAIS ini berdasarkan kajian yang dilaksanakan berkaitan penilaian guru-guru SRA JAIS terhadap program latihan guru di bawah IHES. Reka bentuk kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan boring soal selidik sebagai instrumen kajian berdasarkan Model Penilaian Kirkpatrick (2000) bagi menghuraikan aspek kemahiran guru. Sampel kajian adalah terdiri daripada 535 orang guru SRA JAIS yang merangkumi sembilan daerah di Selangor.  Hasil dapatan kajian dianalisa menggunakan SPSS dan hasil dapatan kajian secara deskriptif menunjukkan nilai min adalah sederhana tinggi bagi keseluruhan aspek kemahiran guru. Melalui ujian ANOVA sehala menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan antara guru-guru SRA JAIS yang mempunyai taraf pendidikan peringkat sijil/diploma dan sarjana muda dan ke atas dengan guru-guru peringkat STPM/STAM/Rabi’ Thanawi dan ke bawah dari aspek kemahiran mengajar. Hasil dapatan kajian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi satu indikator penambahbaikan ke atas sistem latihan guru yang diberikan kepada guru-guru SRA JAIS khususnya yang berkaitan dengan pelaksanaan pengajaran melalui IHES.
